This swingin’ version of the familiar Christmas song features a great deal of ensemble writing punctuated by duet segments for two tenors and two altos. A good dose of linear movement in the inner parts adds harmonic depth, and three modulations-from concert F to G to Ab – help create a sense of drama. Duration is 2:35.
