Lakeland, Florida May 1, 2024 – Kendor Music Publishing is thrilled to announce the release of its newest collection of String Orchestra music. Seven composers, new to Kendor Music Publishing, join veteran voices in expanding the tradition of this beloved and storied publishing house. The new release features original and arranged pieces ranging from Grade 0.5 through 3.5, carefully selected to suit performance occasions such as fall and spring concerts, holiday concerts, and contest and festival occasions. With an interactive online component to streamline easy and thorough selection, orchestra directors can access free professional recordings and full ScoreVideos for each piece of new music, as well as Composer Insights videos where composers share inspiration and details about their new pieces. Professional recordings of the new music are streaming on all major platforms and the publisher’s website. All these resources can be used as tools for students in the classroom.

“The composers went above and beyond expectations with their new pieces for the catalog this year,” says Blair Bielawski, Instrumental Music Editor. “I am honored to work with these talented creatives on a daily basis. Our composers are not only wonderful musicians; they are caring people. It is gratifying to know that whether they are composing more accessible pieces for beginning musicians or challenging large-scale works for high school orchestras, they are putting their hearts and souls into their music. I am confident that Directors and their students will immediately connect to, and love, these new works!”

The publisher’s 2024-2025 String Orchestra Music release includes new works from composers Caryn Wiegand Neidhold, Clifton Jones, David Hinds, Deborah Baker Monday, Doug Spata, George T. Frueh, Jeff Frizzi, Larry Clark, Mark Lortz, Matt Arnett, Peter Blair, Sanchie Bobrow, Steve Parsons, and Tyler Arcari.

The scores in this collection are thoughtfully edited and engraved with ease of reading and accessibility at the forefront. Optional bowings are provided with each piece to encourage pedagogical integrity from the first read. The catalog is organized with the following color-coded series names: Early (.5), Accent (1), Breakthrough (1.5), Voyager (2-2.5), Concert (3-3.5) and Symphonic (4 and up). These categories delineate grade levels, helping directors select the most appropriate music for their ensembles.

Kendor Music Publishing’s 2024-2025 String Orchestra music is available from music retailers and the publisher. Full sets range in price from $45 to $65 retail, each.
