This arrangement from Bach’s Cantata #140 provides excellent training and performance material in the Baroque contrapuntal style. Second violins play the slow moving vocal line (a tenor solo in the original) over a rhythmic and tuneful accompaniment, making this a great change-of-pace selection for concerts dominated by uptempo material.
