Amy Kempton
Amy Kempton is a graduate of the New England Conservatory and East Carolina University where she was a teaching fellow in flute and has studied with Wallace Mann, Lois Schaefer, Robert Willoughby, Robert Mols and Arthur Lora. She has participated in Master Classes with Jean Pierre Rampal and Julius Baker.
Amy retired Great Neck Public Schools (NY) after teaching for 40 years and is an active member of county, state and national music education associations. One of the founding members of the Long Island Flute Club, Ms. Kempton currently serves as the President of the LIFC and is an active member of the National Flute Association. She maintains a private flute studio and is also active as an orchestral, wind ensemble, and chamber music performer.
