First Year FlexDuets

Scott Wagstaff designed and edited this series of flexible instrumentation duet books to make sure that grade 1-2 players have a positive first experience playing in a small ensemble. Featuring 12 selections that can be played by virtually any combination of two like or mixed wind instruments using the appropriate key-compatible book(s), these duets were written to accommodate the needs of Scott's own students and have already been played many times at contests with excellent results.

Second Year FlexDuets

These flexible instrumentation duet books are designed as a followup to the popular First Year FlexDuet collection. Featuring 10 grade 2-3 selections that can be played by virtually any combination of two like or mixed wind instruments using the appropriate key-compatible book(s).

Festival FlexDuets

These 8 duets are destined to become a staple of school music libraries as they can be mixed or matched using any combination of the 10 different books for wind and string instruments. They can also be combined and played by a larger ensemble that has challenging instrumentation.

The Piano accompaniment book is optional and the Tuba book includes two versions of the duets; one that is to be played by 2 Tubas, and one that can be played with another instrument.
