Commissioned by the New Trier (IL) High School Jazz Ensemble directed by James Warrick, this colorful chart starts off with a slow, dreamy intro, transitions to an upbeat straight-8ths statement of the theme, then settles into a breezy samba with open solos for alto, tenor, and/or trumpet. Another open solo for percussion and a strong finish wraps it up beautifully. Duration ca. 6:00.
