This grade 4 two-mallet solo with Piano accompaniment has beautiful harmonies and a poignant musical message. The challenges for the mallet player include double stop rolls, arpeggiated patterns, and musical expression. It also contains an easy 5 measure section that utilizes 3-mallets. “The Wish” may be performed on Xylophone, Marimba, or vibes, and will give the mallet player a chance to work on ensemble playing and expression.
