Dedicated to the memory of Art Dedrick, Kendor’s founder and president, this lyric prayer features quiet recitative passages that serve as a series of invocations with alternate responses by the Piano. To provide stylistic contrast, the middle scherzando section contains rhythmic, syncopated exchanges between soloist and accompanist.
