This captivating piece pays tribute to the legendary bird of prey, whose populations are again rising as their ecosystems are increasingly restored. The driving rhythms of the opening D minor theme portray a falcon on the hunt, followed by a section in 3/4 featuring a rhythmic pulse that depicts the strong wing beats of a falcon’s flight pattern.
