Tim Rasmussen
Tim Rasmussen was born to a musical family and began formal music lessons at a young age. He played violin, cello, and sang in choirs throughout high school before declaring a major in music education, emphasis in voice. He attended and graduated from Pacific Union College in 2013. After graduating, Tim began his teaching career at Grand Rapids Adventist Academy (GRAA) in the fall of 2013 where he taught K-12 music. While at GRAA, his groups grew to new performance levels and he gained significant experience in both choral and instrumental music. He left GRAA in 2021 after serving 8 years to pursue a masters degree in music education from Anderson University in South Carolina. The degree requirements included private lessons, so he signed up for three semesters of composition from arranger and composer Dr. Stan Pethel. Rasmussen completed his degree in 2023 and accepted a position to teach music, math, and computer science at Great Lakes Adventist Academy in Michigan.
