Mike Dana

Mike is on the faculty of Jazz Education Abroad, presenting week-long workshops and masterclasses in universities and conservatories in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Lebanon, and Cyprus. He is also quite active as a guest artist, clinician, and honor ensemble director in the U.S. Mike studied with jazz guitar legend Joe Pass, and has performed with Cannonball Adderley, Gary Burton, Ingrid Jensen, Allison Miller, Bob Mintzer, Bobby Shew, and many others. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in composition from California State University, Fresno, with additional studies at the Berklee College of Music and doctoral studies Boston University
