Keith Young
Keith R. Young is Professor Emeritus of Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he taught saxophone performance studies, music theory, and directed the Jazz Band and Pit Orchestras from 1998 to 2016. In 1998 he retired as the Principal Saxophonist with the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. He is active as a woodwind performer and pianist and is currently teaching applied saxophone at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. His recordings include a solo compact disc with Crystal Records entitled Saxophone Voices from Five Countries. His arrangements have been performed by The USAF Band and his publications include music for concert band, saxophone quartet, and brass quintet. Dr. Young received music degrees from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, the Catholic University of America, and the University of Maryland.
