Greg Furlong
Jeff has been working as a music performer and educator for the past 50 years. As a woodwind performer, Jeff has played with a variety of artists including those from jazz, pop, rock, classical, and theatrical fields. As an educator, Jeff has worked with students from the elementary to university level.
A partial listing of his professional credits include performing with many well known artists and groups such as Gerry Mulligan, Phil Woods, Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, Clark Terry, Cab Calloway, Barbara McNair, Manhattan Transfer, Gregory Hines, Marvin Hamlisch, Tommy Tune, The Glen Miller Orchestra, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Jay and the Americans, Ben E. King, The Four Tops, The Funk Filharmonik, Stealin’ Dan, The Atlantic Wind Symphony and The Queens Symphony. Included among his many theatrical credits are Annie, Funny Girl, Grease, The Wiz, Nunsense, Falsettos, Damn Yankees, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and The Producers.
Teaching experience includes 9 years as an adjunct assistant professor at Hofstra University and 26 years in the Middle Country Central School District. Jeff has a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College and a Master of Science in Education from Dowling College.
