David Hinds

David Hinds received his BME degree from West Texas A&M University and MME from the University of North Texas. He taught both band and orchestra on the middle school and high school levels in Amarillo, TX and played in the Amarillo Symphony during his teaching career. He retired as a middle school orchestra director. David conducted the Amarillo College Chamber Orchestra and the AC Suzuki Orchestra. He was a member of ASCAP, TMEA, TODA, TMAA, and ASTA. David served as an adjudicator for UIL orchestra contests and served as a region orchestra conductor/clinician. He has several string orchestra compositions published through multiple publishers, some of which appear on various state contest lists.
