Andrew Lesick

Andrew has been the Director of Bands at a small rural school in Northwest Ohio; Napoleon Area Schools for over 20 years.

Andrew earned his Bachelor’s of Music Education at the University of Toledo under Dr. Brant Karrick. While at the University of Toledo, he studied under a number of different Jazz educators.

In addition to insatiable curiosity about the Jazz genre, Andrew has also sought assistance from local musicians in an effort to expand his knowledge of Jazz.

His charts have been used as tunes for advanced middle and high school level jazz students to cut their teeth with improvisation. They can also be successfully performed simply by utilizing with the written solos.
