Allan Horney

Allan Horney is Professor of Trombone and Jazz Studies at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. During his tenure as Director of Jazz Studies at EIU, the EIU Jazz Ensemble won a Downbeat DB award and released its first CD “Eastern Time Zone” in 1994. Mr. Horney holds degrees from Indiana State University and the University of Illinois and has been a member of the EIU faculty since 1974.
