Alfred 'Corky' Fabrizio
Known to all of his friends as Corky, he received his BS and MM degrees in Music from Ithaca College. A student of Jimmy Burke and Walter Beeler, Corky was an active member of the wind ensemble, orchestra, percussion ensemble and marching band. He has the distinct honor of being one of the few graduates with a major in all wind instruments. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, Tri-M Music Honor Society, numerous judging associations, and the New York State School Music Association.
He recently retired from a 34-year teaching career in the public schools, during which he directed primary, secondary, college and community groups. Mr. Fabrizio has conducted over 300 festivals bands and has served on a number of college faculties.
An active adjudicator, guest conductor and clinician for the King Division of UMI, his published music is available through Kendor, Columbia Pictures, Warner Brothers, Shawnee Press, Tuba Press, Educational Program Publications, and Meredith Music. He also operates his own Silver Fox Publishing Company.
To his credit, Mr. Fabrizio has been selected for the Teacher of the Year Award and was named in the book “Outstanding Young Men of America.” He currently resides in Fairport, New York, with shares his free time with his wife Mary, their daughters Beth and Amy, and grandchildren Cara, Gregory and Rachael.
