Albert Wang

Upon his graduation from the Ghangzhou Conservatory of Music in 1975, Albert Wang served as principal violist with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra for over ten years. In 1986 he began a highly successful career as a freelance composer and music producer. As one of the most prolific composers in China, his works include The Encyclopedia of Dancing Music series, The Fire of Youth (based on dramatic music from Japanese television), and Chinese Folk Song Themes for Orchestra. Commercial recordings of these works have sold over 8 million copies in China since their release, and he has received numerous music awards in China and Hong Kong for his wide-ranging achievements as composer, arranger and conductor. In 2006, Mr. Wang earned a Sound Design Certificate from New York University upon the completion of studies in recording engineering. Today he lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
