Music Moves: Kendor Music Publishing Announces New Jazz Ensemble Music
A new catalog of Jazz Ensemble music has arrived from Kendor Music Publishing and Doug Beach Music for 2025-2026. The release consists of over 30 original works and arrangements for Jazz Ensemble, a new warm-up set, Sequential Warm-ups for Intermediate Jazz Ensemble, and free, interactive online resources to help directors with music selection and teaching. A wide range of Jazz styles are represented, with technical levels spanning from grades 1 through 4.
“Our goals with the Kendor Music Publishing and Doug Beach Music catalogs were simple: present music that students and educators would enjoy and learn from,” says Kendor Music Publishing Jazz and Instrumental Editor Blair Bielawski. “We’re offering music from well-respected composers, familiar to those well-acquainted with the Kendor Music Publishing brand, as well as music from a couple of exciting new voices. There are plenty of fun, solid works for young and intermediate ensembles, and some absolute show-stoppers on the more advanced end. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to present music and resources to aid directors in helping their Jazz students move to the next level.”
Kendor Music Publishing’s 2025-2026 new release includes original and arranged charts from returning composers Carl Strommen, Craig Skeffington, Dave Hanson, Ellen Rowe, Greg Yasinitsky, Jamie Roth, Jeff Jarvis, Jerry Tolson, Kris Berg, Lars Halle, Peter Blair, Terry White, and Vince Gassi, as well as composers new to the catalog Joe Snyder and Brad Ciechomski. Doug Beach Music’s 2025-2026 release features returning composers Brad Ciechomski, Bret Zvacek, Doug Beach, George Shutack, Michele Fernández, and Mike Tomaro, as well as newcomer Tom Garling.
Kendor Music Publishing’s interactive online resources make music selection easy. Directors can access free professional recordings and ScoreVideos for each new chart, as well as newly added digital program notes that can be quickly copied and pasted into concert programs. Professional recordings of the new music are streaming on all major platforms and the publisher’s website. All these resources can be used as tools for students in the classroom at any time. The scores in this collection are thoughtfully edited and engraved with ease of reading and accessibility at the forefront. Kendor Music Publishing’s catalog is organized with the following color-coded series names: Quest (1), Gateway (1.5), Trek (2), Journey (3), and Summit (4 and up). These categories delineate grade levels, helping directors select the most appropriate music for their ensembles.
Kendor Music Publishing’s 2025–2026 Jazz Ensemble music releases are available from music retailers and the publisher.
