Big Cat Groove

Description

This swing excursion commissioned by the School District 45 Jazz Band in Villa Park (IL) serves equally well as a concert opener or closer, and will teach and/or reinforce the basic rhythms that every jazz musician should know. While easy-to-hear solo changes will give students the opportunity to work on improvisational skills, sample solos for all instruments are provided. Rhythm section parts are notated with chords cued.
