With upper Strings trading places with the lower Strings in the melodic lines, it resembles moving from inside to outside a building. A similar contrast occurs in the style and dynamics: energy versus relaxed and forte versus piano. Students will be able to apply these fundamental concepts to their playing. The Violas double the Second Violins, and the Bass part doubles the Cello part, providing added security for younger players.
